Peppe Citarella is an Italian DJ and producer, known for founding UNION RECORDS. He began his career in the 90s, exploring genres like Afro, Jazz, Garage, and Old School Classics, blending his Latin and Mexican heritage. After gaining international experience, he returned to Italy and made a mark with his unique sets. In 2008, his hit «Tacalacateo» ranked in global dance charts. His 2012 track «MamaAfrica» also became popular, leading to a collaboration with House Music pioneer Tony Humphries. In 2015, Citarella worked with DJ Spen, releasing tracks on «Quantize» and «Unquantize.» In 2017, he launched UNION RECORDS, with «Organ Ride» quickly making the Top 10 in Soulful House. His 2018 track «Moyubba» featured in major compilations and solidified his reputation. By 2019, UNION RECORDS was highly respected in the Afro House and Soulful House scenes, marking a successful decade for Citarella.
